School of Hard Drugs: Teen tests to curb addict epidemic

Posted on

Russian children who are barely in their teens could face drug tests at school as the country has a severe problem with the number of addicts -- and most start their habit early. All Russians can take a drug test voluntarily, but if Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has his way, hundreds of thousands of students -- and even schoolchildren as young as 13 -- will face mandatory testing. 1. marijuana > alcohol and other drugs

  2. @TheSecrecyOfSolitude
then legality cuts drug use so society is better for it. or better for the fact that people r free to do what they wish, alcohol is just another drug and alcohol dependance or withdrawl can kill.
Cannabis is a perfect drug, it has no hangover, in fact the more I consume the better I feel the next day or week even, it makes me want to work and be constructive; one mans escape is another mans focusing point.

  3. @tpvalley So you’re saying if drugs were legal then the sales would go down? Your point is?
I really don’t see why people abuse drugs in the first place. It’s one thing to abuse alcohol, but doing drugs for a quick temporary escape is just pathetic to me.

  4. @TheSecrecyOfSolitude
legality and control stop kids getting drugs, surely u agree with an age limit on alcohol? if u do then u cant disagree with legality and so control; also when legal and sterile there is no exotic appeal, just a man in a white coat- look at the portugal model and dutch system-less people take drugs there, mainly due to decriminalisation of cannabis removing gateway effect and giving us what we need.

  5. @tpvalley Well, most of us know that the government ships in the drugs and helps distribute them.
That’s how they make their money.

Also, a person should be free to harm their body with drugs and alcohol if they wish, but there are a lot of dangerous drugs out there, and if they just let them go freely, then kids would get to them and that would be an outrage.

  6. @TheSecrecyOfSolitude
in fact crime stops when drugs are given for free as proved in heroin trials where I live.
illegality creates most of the problem and knee jerk prohibitionist politics makes it worse and lines the pockets of those who rule from behind the mask.

  7. @fridsade Right. That’s just the withdrawal effects people were having. If less people were addicted to drugs and alcohol, there wouldn’t be so much crime.
People do the most ridiculous things when they’re having withdrawal.

  8. @TheSecrecyOfSolitude There would be less crime if drugs were legalized, specifically marijuana. Take a look back to the 1930′s, when alcohol was abolished, there were more crimes.

  9. @fridsade I know that drugs are banned. What I’m saying is…If drugs were legal, then crime would increase.
Just look at alcohol and the horrible effects of that. Imagine what some drugs would do.
Don’t get me wrong. Some drugs,I don’t think should be illegal (LSD for example) but that ban will probably never be lifted.

  10. Don’t you see you fucking idiots. It’s all about the money, the higher authorities don’t give a shit about you. Wake the fuck up.

  11. @TheSecrecyOfSolitude Drugs ARE banned you idiot. Because of this failed drug war, there is more crime, more robberies, more murders more everything you idiot. Don’t you see?

  12. What about the #1 drug in the world? Alcohol.

  13. @Some1Jaded Did I answer your question? You asked something that should be obvious as to why people do things.
Why would they put caffine into sodas, to get you hooked is why.

  14. @TrollMead yeah, or anywhere in the world, pretty much

  15. Marijuana apologists are amusing. They truly have themselves convinced that the rest of the world’s attitude toward pot is totally wrong.

  16. lol vodka?

  17. With all the awesome drugs in the world, i just dont get why anyone would want to use herion. Opiates are horrible.

  18. @TrollMead What about Russia’s #1 alcoholic drink: VODKA!

  19. In soviet russia, drug does you!

  20. @TrollMead At least its alcohol…

  21. I IS STILL ALIVE
I AM HAVING TAPE OF PROOF!

  22. First Vodka, now heroin. Go figure.

  23. hey this isn’t rwj…

  24. @staticifyable Sales wouldn’t drop, they would surge.

  25. @TheThrashNerd Ok, some people get addicted. Big deal. So they blow like 60 bucks a week on weed? Boo hoo.
